Single Touch Payroll

3rd May 2018 |

Are you an employer with 20 or more employees? If you answered yes, you will be required to report using Single Touch Payroll (STP) starting 1 July 2018.

If you’re unsure if you will be need to report, you will need to count your employees on 1 April 2018 to see if there are 20 or more. Once you are using the STP reporting system, you would be required to continue reporting using this system even if your employee numbers drop under 20.

For details on which employees are counted, please refer to the following ATO’s link:

For employers employing less than 20, single touch payroll will not be compulsory until 1 July 2019.

Make sure you are compliant and STP ready! Contact our office if you need assistance with your employee’s headcount or with your software set up.
